At LXD Research, good research starts with good data — and good data starts with real educators. That’s why we’re launching the LXD Educator Voices Collective: a paid research panel for PreK–12 teachers, coaches, administrators, and higher education faculty who want to shape how educational technology gets evaluated, designed, and brought into classrooms.
What Is the Educator Voices Collective?
The Collective is a growing community of educators across grade levels and subject areas who participate in research studies on their own terms. When we’re running a new study for an EdTech client — whether that’s a survey, a structured interview, or a focus group — we reach out to Collective members who fit the right profile for that research.
You choose when to participate. There’s no ongoing commitment, no pressure, and no minimum number of studies you have to join. The Collective is designed to fit into the reality of a working educator’s schedule, not the other way around.
Why Does This Matter?
Here’s something we think about a lot at LXD Research: EdTech products are built and certified based on evidence — but that evidence is only as strong as the educators who contribute to it. When teachers and administrators share their honest experiences with tools, curricula, and classroom technology, they’re directly influencing what gets built, what gets improved, and what gets adopted in schools.
Most educators never realize they have that kind of leverage. The Collective is our way of making that connection explicit. Research that includes educator voices produces better insights. It’s that straightforward.
The edtech industry moves fast, and the products that end up in classrooms are often shaped by product teams and market researchers who are several steps removed from actual instruction. Giving educators a direct, compensated channel into that process is something we think matters — both for the quality of research and for the educators themselves.
Your Expertise, Your Time, Your Terms
Depending on the study, Collective members might be invited to participate in different ways. Each opportunity is different, but the typical time commitment is up to one hour — and every participation is compensated.
Share your experience with specific tools, curricula, or classroom practices through a structured questionnaire.
Speak directly with a researcher about your perspective on a topic in educational technology.
Join a small group of fellow educators to discuss findings or provide feedback on a specific product or approach.
All experience levels are welcome. Whether you’ve been teaching for 30 years or 3, your perspective is valuable — and often, the most useful data comes from educators at very different points in their careers.
Compensation and PD Credits
Collective members receive $50 compensation for each study they participate in. Professional development credits are also offered where available. We want participation to feel worthwhile — not like a favor you’re doing for a company you’ve never heard of.
Who Should Join?
The Collective is open to educators from PreK through higher education. We serve clients across a wide range of content areas — from literacy and math to science, CTE, and special education — so there’s a good chance research opportunities will align with what you know best.
If you work in or adjacent to PreK–12 education and have opinions about the tools and approaches being used in classrooms — which, if you’re reading this, you almost certainly do — the Collective is designed for you.
How to Sign Up
Joining the Collective takes about five minutes. You’ll share some basic information about your role, grade level, subject area, and school — details that help us connect you with studies where your expertise is the right fit. We’ll reach out only when there’s a relevant opportunity; there’s no obligation to participate in every study we send your way.
We’re recruiting now, with new research opportunities beginning Summer 2026. Scan the QR code on the flyer above to get started.
